- Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) – long-term housing solution for eligible participants under the SDA Rules 2020
- Medium Term Accommodation (MTA) – accommodation available to all participants of the NDIS where a long term solution has been identified however is able to be moved into in the medium term
- Short Term Accommodation (STA) – respite and holiday style accommodation for NDIS participants.
Alison is a highly accomplished general manager with multi-disciplinary commercial experience on a national scale. Her professional services are now focused as a strategic advisor in the areas of advisory, acquisition/disposal, and influencer in the areas of Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) and housing affordability areas working collaboratively with the property development industry, finance industry, disability sector and public policy advisors.
By formal education and experience, Alison is an expert Property Valuer across all asset classes, with significant experience in both metropolitan and regional valuation. Alison’s career has included the build-out of a single valuer practice from a start-up in regional Victoria into a substantial shareholding in the Opteon Property Group – a national independent property valuation firm employing more than 800 people, and time within the NDIA working on SDA.
Alison is a non-executive Director of Unison Housing and sits on their Development subcommittee and PCG for developments in progress. In addition, Alison is a member of Regional Development Australia’s Barwon & South West Region Committee.
